This is a book that I really enjoyed reading! I like the chase, a fast paced and exciting plot where the characters are complex and very well described- not just good or bad. I am amazed at how the author creates a sense of place so you feel like you are right next to the action. The knowledge of the local environments as well the character types speak about a very deep insight and understanding of the “playgrounds” whether it be in Denmark, the Nordics or all the complex international environments that the book takes you to. Anything can happen! I can’t wait to read the next book from Pat Halford. 5 stars!!!!

Fast paced thriller with unusual themes. I was gripped from page 1, reluctantly had to put it down (only to sleep) and finished it in 2 sittings. Can’t wait for the sequel.

Thoroughly enjoyed this novel, it is quite refreshing to read a thriller that isn't set in the usual places, in the US, or one of the major capitals, London, Paris or Rome. Add in that the author starts to introduce some of the major new technologies on the scene - drones and droids - and you get a novel that has aspects of the traditional spy thriller but some nice additional modern (and new) technology thrown in.
